The terminal mode provides an interactive user interface with the relay allowing you to change settings, view measured values & retrieve data from the relay. This activity is initiated through connection of a laptop to the relay's Port 1 or Port 2 or via an external modem connected to Port 2. Communication with the relay is performed through an ASCII protocol to eliminate the need for specialized user interface software. Any terminal emulation program that supports standard VT100 can be used (e.g. the HyperTerminal).
