Q: What is the accuracy of TESLA's real-time clock?
A: (Without GPS Timesync - the ans shall be in terms of ____ms/day or ___ms/month or __ms/year) +-20PPM(+-20 Sec/Msec). 1 year has 525,600 sec, +-20PPM means 10.5 sec/year = 28.8 ms/day = 875ms/month.

Settings

Q: How can I change/reset my "Loss of Life" setting value?
A: Disconnect Top Oil input from the unit and then change/reset the value, then connect the input back.

Communicating with TESLA

Q: I can't seem to communicate to my TESLA 3000 through a LAN modem.
A: Please check if your unit IP address is setup 25 away from LAN modem's IP address, if so please add unit IP address into a table shown in the LAN modem setup screen.

Q: Is auto-polling of recorders through dial-up modem networks possible?
A: Yes. Same as the other type of connections. No matter what type connection you are using, as long as you connected to the unit and have ‘autopoll' box checked, it will auto poll the record from the recorder to your desktop.

Q: Does RecordBase Central Station support dial-up network architecture or only Ethernet?
A: Yes, dial-up network architecture is supported. Use your TESLA control panel to connect to the recorder.

Q: Why aren't my recorders sending back records after triggering with RecordBase Central Station?
A: This is possible because of the firewall is blocking the communication between TESLA and RecordBase Central Station, please either turn off your firewall or open up a port to allow the communication between RecordBase Central Station and TESLA.

Data Exports

Q: Is it possible to get "fault and wing records" data in Excel to CSV format automatically without doing the export manually (something like database support)?
A: No. you can only export record into csv file manually.

Q: Is it possible to get the voltage dip record and information in e-mail automatically or notification on mobile phone?
A: No, this is not possible at this time.

Error Messages

Q: An 'ftp error' dialog box pops up when I attempt to download a record from the recorder.
A: A firewall can cause this problem. Check your firewall settings or turn of windows firewall, antivirus software.

Q: I'm receiving an error message "error in creating combined record, unable to open the destination file".
A: TESLA creates a temporary record for the combined record under C drive; if a user doesn't have privileges to write files to that drive, the combined record cannot be saved. Please check whether you have administrator privileges and/or whether you can write files to the C drive.

Q: Why can't my "derived channels" be calculated?
A: Make sure you record file is not 'read-only' attribute. The symptoms indicate a lack of privileges (Limited User). Derived channels must be written back into the opened record; if a user does not have write-permission to that directory, derived channel info cannot be saved.

Q: How can I connect a B-PRO to a bus that has 7 inputs?
A: You can parallel two CT inputs together, making sure that they are the same ratios and both inputs are load feeders (lines) no source inputs.
